Switzerland are through to the final of the Euro Beach Soccer League final for the first time after a crushing 5-2 win over Portugal.

The two sides went into Saturday’s clash in Moscow knowing the winner would secure a place in the final against Russia, and a Stephan Leu hat-trick helped the Swiss to victory.

Portugal’s three-time Golden Boot winner Madjer had given them an early lead before Switzerland began dominating.

They went 3-1 up before Alan pulled one back for Portugal, but Leu made sure there would be no late comeback.

Elsewhere, Spain will face Italy in the Superfinal relegation playoff after suffering a 3-2 loss to Romania.

The teams were locked at 2-2 before Juanma Lima scored an own goal to condemn the two-time World Cup winners to the loss.
