Dominik Szoboszlai is edging closer to leaving RB Salzburg and taking the next step in his career, according to his agent.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been on great form lately, scoring seven goals (some of them absolute stunners) in 16 appearances at club and international level combined so far. He scored a brilliant one to provide Hungary with a late turnaround against Iceland last week and send his country to next year’s European championship.
Szoboszlai is only the latest product of the kind from the Austrian club, following in the footsteps of Sadio Mane, Erling Haaland and Takumi Minamino. His fine performances have reportedly seen him raise the interests of Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Everton, but Esterhazy Matyas, the player’s representative, told Digisport (via the Mirror) that regular game-time is very important for Szoboszlai’s further development, which means he would only join a club where there would be a proper chance of him breaking into the starting XI quickly.
