Taarabt wants OM move; Real intend to keep Jese Rodriguez

Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Adel Taarabt has admitted he wants to complete a move to French giants Olympique de Marseille.

Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Adel Taarabt has admitted he wants to complete a move to French giants Olympique de Marseille, Sky Sports understands.

According to reports, QPR may be willing to allow Taarabt to leave Loftus Road on loan this summer, but the Super Hoops are reportedly unwilling to sanction a permanent deal.

The West London club, who were relegated to the Championship after finishing bottom-of-the-table in the English Premier League last term, have yet to receive any offers for the No. 10. amid speculation linking him with a summer move to France.

French Ligue 1 runners-up Olympique de Marseille are reportedly thinking about a move for Taarabt, much to the delight of the Morocco international.

“The club of my heart? OM. I have not had a direct contact, but my friend Joey Barton has told everyone at the club about me,” Taarabt told Le Parisien.

“If OM want me, I’m going. My sisters still live in Marseille. This is the first club I supported.”

Taarabt, formerly of Tottenham Hotspur, bagged five goals and four assists in 31 league appearances for QPR last season.

Real intend to keep Jese Rodriguez

Real Madrid technical director Miguel Pardez has revealed the club will not sell highly-rated attacker Jese Rodriguez Ruiz this summer, Sky Sports reports.

Jese, a graduate of the famed academy of Real Madrid C.F., impressed scouts at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey this summer, scoring five goals in five appearances.

The Spain youth international, 20, has just one year remaining on his current contract, with recent reports linking him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

However, the club’s top officials want to keep the 20-year-old  at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu next season, and rightfully so.

Jese, who has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo, scored 22 goals in 38 league appearances for Real Madrid Castilla last term.

“Jese will be staying with us,” said Pardez.

“He forms part of a brilliant generation and has already shown what he can do with Castilla.”

The departure of Jose Callejon may provide Jese with increased first-team opportunities under new manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Meanwhile, fellow Spain Under-20 star Alvaro Morata could see more time on the pitch next season, but only if Gonzalo Higuain leaves Madrid for North London.

Real Madrid have completed the signings of Asier Illarramendi, Casemiro, Daniel Carvajal and Isco this summer.

Thiago joins Bayern Munich

In other news, Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Spain international midfielder Thiago Alcantara from FC Barcelona.

“FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich have reached an agreement over the transfer of the player Thiago Alcantara to the German club for a total of €25 million,” read a statement on the Spanish champions’ official website, www.fcbarcelona.com.

“This agreement also includes holding a friendly match between the two teams, which will be played in the next four years.”

Thiago, the 2013 UEFA Under-21 Championship Golden Player, tallied two goals and five assists in 27 league appearances for Barcelona last season.
