According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico is set to choose between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid as his next destination.
There’s been a great deal of speculation over what the immediate future holds for him, and now, it appears as if the decision rests in his hands.
Atletico have had an uneven campaign in La Liga to say the least, but in Europe, they’re still in the mix as they continue to pursue that elusive Champions League title.
Chelsea, on the other hand, certainly wouldn’t say no to another world class defender coming into their ranks. Blues boss Frank Lampard will be well aware of the fact that one of their biggest issues comes with the defensive problems they’ve been experiencing this season, and with the period between this and next season being so short, he’ll need to act quickly if he wants to change things up.
