Looking to book their spot in the fourth round of this year’s FA Cup, Aston Villa will welcome Swansea to Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side, while his arrival in the Midlands has certainly improved the mood at Villa Park, the Villans have now managed to win just one of their last five outings. However, the Clarets have impressed in the final third and now hold the second best-attacking record in the Championship. Looking to mount a real run in the FA Cup this season, the former Brentford boss will be looking for leading goalscorer Tammy Abraham to lead their charge. Heavily linked with a potential move to Premier League outfit Wolves, the England U21 international grabbed a brace in midweek and now has 12 goals in his last 10 appearances.

As for the visitors, while Swansea did manage to pick up a 4-1 win over Championship strugglers Reading on New Years Day, that doesn’t cover what has been a very incontinent 2018 for Graham Potter’s side. A side that drastically struggled with their defensive issues last season, it doesn’t appear that the Swans have made many improvements. Along with losing both their meetings against Villa this season, the Whites have now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last nine appearances, a run that stems back to the start of November.
