The United States of America will not be taking part in next year’s World Cup in Russia.
It’s the first time USA have failed to qualify for a World Cup since 1986 and the sense of disappointment is overwhelming.
Bruce Arena’s boys lost their crucial qualifier against Trinidad and Tobago last night and their 2-1 slump saw former USA international and now a TV pundit Taylor Twellman lay into the entire soccer system in the country.
