Teammates urge Sancho to apologize to Man United boss Ten Hag or leave

According to The Guardian, senior squad members at Manchester United have urged rebel Jadon Sancho to apologize to manager Erik ten Hag, and if he fails to act on that advice, he’ll be made available for transfer in January. It seems United are very keen to put this unpleasant situation behind them once and for all, one way or the other.

The quarrel between the winger and the coach blew up in early September, when Ten Hag left Sancho out of the matchday squad that faced Arsenal and explained his decision by stating Sancho hadn’t met the required standards in training. Sancho strongly denied the claim, saying that what the manager had said was “completely untrue” in a social media post he has since deleted. He has been out of the squad ever since.

Off-pitch issues have been plaguing United wingers heavily for a long time now. Mason Greenwood was first charged with domestic violence and has since been acquitted, and he’s now on loan at Getafe. Antony was accused of the same crime, but no official charges have been pressed as of yet and he’s back in contention.

As for Sancho, it’s hard to imagine him getting his career back on track at Old Trafford, at least while Ten Hag is in charge of the team. How long that is, remains to be seen, given that United sit 10th in the Premier League and at the bottom of their Champions League group at the moment.
