Competition: Championship
Market: Teemu Pukki to score anytime
Odds: 1/1 @ 888sport
In a real battle between two sides at opposite ends of the Championship table, Norwich will make the trip to St. Andrew’s on Tuesday night.
Starting with the hosts, after managing to pick up what was a hard-fought 1-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday over the weekend, Birmingham are desperate to build off of that result. Opening up the midweek fixtures holding just a two-point buffer from slipping back into the drop zone and in the midst of a real relegation scrap, the Blues have continued to gain a reputation for their glaring issues on home soil. With just a pair of wins to their name across all formats since way back at the start of December, Aitor Karanka has also seen his side pick up just a pair of points at St. Andrew’s in any of their last 12 appearances. Only managing to record a single goal on home soil in over 500 minutes of action, it should also be noted that Birmingham were hit with a 1-0 loss when they made the trip to East Anglia in the reverse fixture back in October.
As for the visitors, really finding form and building off of the slip-ups around them, Norwich have already mustered themselves a very impressive seven-point buffer at the top of the table. Picking up a 1-0 win against Rotherham over the weekend and winning each of their last three Championship contests on the bounce, Daniel Farke will surely be boosted by Teemu Pukki’s recent purple patch. Spearheading Norwich’s charge to make an automatic Premier League return this year, the Finnish striker once again bagged the winner at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon. Smelling a golden chance to extend on his tally in midweek, Pukki has now scored four goals in just his last three Championship appearances. Already recording 17 strikes for club and country this season, we’re backing the 30-year-old to once again get himself on the scoresheet at St. Andrew’s.
Bet: Teemu Pukki 1/1 to score anytime against Birmingham City for Tuesday’s Championship contest @ 888sport
