Teixeira extends Fleetwood stay

Stoke City defender Dionatan Teixeira has extended his loan spell with Fleetwood Town until the New Year, according to Talksport.

The twenty-three year old moved to Higbury Stadium at the end of last month and has since racked up six appearances in all competitions.

He signed for Stoke from Slovak outfit FK Dukla Banksa Bystrika in the summer of 2014 though he has only made one brief appearances for them, coming on late in a 2-1 win at Aston Villa back in February.

Internationally he has been capped three times for Slovakia’s U21s, having represented Brazil at U17 level.

Teixeira’s last appearance for the Cod Army, who recently appointed Steven Pressley as manager came in Saturday’s 1-0 win at fellow strugglers Barnsley.

That result moved the Lancashire side above the Terriers and outside of the relegation zone and they can now be backed at a price of 4/11 to stay up.
