Ter Stegen linked with Manchester City

Manchester City are closing in on the signing of Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, according to the Telegraph.

The Citizens have long been linked with a new goalkeeper to provide competition for England number one Joe Hart.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Ter Stegen, but he favours linking up with incoming City boss Pep Guardiola, who will replace Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.

The Germany international has failed to hold down a first team spot since moving to the Nou Camp from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2014, making the majority of his appearances in Europe with Claduio Bravo first choice in the league.

City currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League, fifteen points off the top and just one point ahead of point both West Ham United and neighbours Manchester United.

They are priced at 1/1 to win at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
