(GSM) – John Terry has called on UEFA to take action after claiming his Chelsea side have twice been the victims of sub-standard refereeing in the latter stages of the Champions League.

The Blues were sent packing by Internazionale following a 1-0 last 16 defeat at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night in which Terry claimed referee Wolfgang Stark should have awarded his side two clear-cut penalties.

Last season Chelsea exited the competition at the semi-final stage following a controversial meeting with Barcelona.

“It was a bad performance by us but a really bad performance from the referee,” said Terry.

After poor refereeing he said, “It is not good enough at this stage of the competition.”

“We were at home and we didn’t get one decision,” he added.

Chelsea skipper was pointed at bad refereeing for their defeat, “We do our best to get ourselves in this position and for two years running we get let down by bad refereeing.”

Terry said, “We need someone at the club to take it up with UEFA.”

He disappointed by referee’s decision, “I’m not going to say the word conspiracy. But I’m so frustrated by what happened.”

“If I get myself in trouble, then so be it. I owe it to our fans to speak out”, he explained.
