Terry expects Grealish and McGinn to stay

Aston Villa are back in the Premier League! After beating Derby County 2-1 in the play-off final at Wembley on Monday, the club from Birmingham are returning to the top flight after three years spent in the Championship. In that time, the club had some bitter disappointments, like losing the play-off final to Fulham last year, but now are ready for a new beginning.

And John Terry will be part of that. Aston Villa assistant manager and Chelsea legend talked to the Express about the possibility of losing some players due to interest from other clubs and the chances of keeping the current squad together.

“Aston Villa going back to the Premier League gives us the chance to keep players like Jack [Grealish] and John [McGinn] as well as other highly valued members of the squad,” Terry told the Express. “John and Jack get on really well both on and off the pitch. You can see it when they’re out on the pitch playing,” he added.
