(GSM) – Former England captain John Terry has insisted there is no rift between coach Fabio Capello and players.
Terry dismissed reports of splits in the camp and unhappy with coach’s tactics but he said they are happy with Capello. England are under tremendous pressure following their second disappointing goalless draw with underdog Algeria.
He told a press conference: “We shouldn’t be looking at excuses or criticising the manager.
“We’re here, we’re supporting and we are fully behind him. We know we’ve got his support as well and that’s the main thing.
“I’ve seen a few reports myself this morning. Coming here on behalf of the players there’s no unrest in the camp at all.
“We’re obviously still disappointed from the game the other night, but we have to pick ourselves up. We have to win the game on Wednesday.
“I’m not going to sit here and question manager. All I can say is I am here on behalf of the team and players and we’re all fully behind the manager.
“Since the manager has come in he’s had his ways and his philosophies that he’s brought to the side.
“That’s worked in the campaign and nothing should change from that. We’ve got to stay unified and stay together and get the win.”
