Terry set for new one-year deal

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is certain that John Terry will still be at Stamford Bridge next season, according to the Mail Online.

The Blues captain, who bar a brief loan spell with Nottingham Forest in 2000 has spent his entire career at SW6 but is set to be out of contract in the summer.

However, his manager fully expects him to put pen to paper on a new one-year deal, not least due to his impressive form this year.

He has played every minute of the club’s Premier League campaign so far, helping them to the top of the table where they are currently five points clear of champions Manchester City with a game in hand.

He also scored his sixth goal of the season with the opener in the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon but has ruled out a return to international football.
