Tévez: Chelsea move was close

(GSM) – Manchester City forward Carlos Tévez admits he came close to joining Chelsea last year.

But the Argentina international believes he made the right decision to join City instead of the Blues.

“We can challenge Chelsea for the title,” said Tévez ahead of Today’s clash.

“We can face them on an equal footing because of what happened last season. We beat them twice.

“When Man United didn’t want me, I had a conversation with Ancelotti but there was never any concrete offer.

“I only ever talk about proper, written offers – and that was the case with City.”
