Tevez hopes Torres joins him at City

(GSM) – Carlos Tevez would like Fernando Torres to form a lethal partnership with him at Manchester City.

City manager Roberto Mancini admitted the Liverpool striker is high on his wish-list and the Citizens are desperate to add a big-name striker to their squad this summer.

Tevez hopes his club will make a colossal deal for Torres.

“Torres would definitely make us better. He’s one of the top strikers in the world and I would love to have him as a team-mate,” the Argentina international told The Sun.

“Last year we ended up contesting the Champions League places. I have no doubt that this year we will achieve that aim and fight for the title.

“The club will pick up reinforcements and this will make us stronger.

“I know I’ve never regretted coming to City. It’s the best decision I ever made.”

Torres has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield after Liverpool finished in a disappointing seventh place in the Premier League last season.
