Carlos Tevez says he is not interested in signing for Paris Saint-Germain, and has his sights set on a move to either Spain or Italy.
The unsettled Manchester City striker was in talks with PSG in the January transfer window, but the Ligue 1 giants ended negotiations because of the South American’s excessive wage demands.
Tevez has now said he is not considering a move to Paris, and is only interested in a move to Italy or Spain.
“My one objective is to join a club from Serie A. Or maybe a Spanish one, but not any other country,” Tevez told Kicker.
“Finding a new club will be hard. It’s very hard to not know what is going to happen to my future. A few years ago, I said I was going to retire when I turned 28.”
“For certain, it’s been longer than I thought, but I wonder if this statement was a mere coincidence or if I was afraid of finding myself in this situation.”
Tevez, who turns 28 on Sunday, was close to joining AC Milan last month, but the Serie A club refused to meet Manchester City’s evaluation of the striker.
