Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez insists that he will not celebrate if he scores against his former club West Ham.
Tevez saved the Hammers from relegation two years ago and is still getting grateful letters from fans of the club.
He said: “I can’t hide the fact that West Ham is my second team after Manchester United.
“West Ham gave me the chance to show that I could play here and that means a lot to me. I suffer a lot in these types of games but I am a professional, I owe United and I want to win.
“In the year I was with West Ham, the fans were completely behind me – although I did find it difficult when I wasn’t being picked in the team.
“Their support is worth its weight in gold for me. For a long time I have received thank-you letters from West Ham fans for the effort of that incredible run-in to the season when we avoided being relegated against all odds.
“I have so much respect for West Ham fans that I will not celebrate if I score. They understand that at United and there is no problem.”
United will face West Ham in London on Sunday.
