Arsenal held on to top spot in the Premier League after their thrilling 3-2 win over Liverpool last Sunday, with Manchester City staying in hot pursuit.

The Gunners have won five of their past six league games against Leeds United (D1), who are this weekend’s opponents, and are on a streak of three wins in a row against the Whites, one short of matching their best such streak, a run of four from November 1936 to April 1938.

Pep Guardiola’s City make the short journey on Sunday to face a Liverpool side whose title hopes are perhaps already shot, though an Anfield win for the Reds could change the picture slightly.

Manchester United and Newcastle United have contended classic games in the past, and they go head-to-head at Old Trafford, also on Sunday.

Ahead of another feast of English top-flight action, test yourself with our Opta-powered quiz. Answers are at the bottom.

1. Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha has scored seven goals against Leicester City, who are the Eagles’ weekend opponents. Name the only three players in Premier League history to have netted more goals against the Foxes.

2. Dominic Solanke will be looking to help Bournemouth to victory at Fulham, and he has a landmark goal in his sights. If he scores at Craven Cottage, will it take the former Liverpool player to 25, 50 or 100 goals in English league football?

3. Manchester United tackle Newcastle United at Old Trafford and have lost just one of their past 37 home league games against the Magpies (W27 D9). It was a 1-0 December defeat, but in what year did it come, and who was the Red Devils manager on that day?

4.West Ham, who travel to Southampton, have conceded 798 away goals in their Premier League history. They could become the fourth side to ship 800 on the road. Who are the three side to have already passed that total?

5. Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has 15 goals from nine games already and could break a Premier League record for the most goals in any 10-game stretch, which currently stands at 16. Ahead of City’s clash at Liverpool on Sunday, who was the player who went on that 10-game scoring streak.

Answers:

1. Harry Kane (18), Son Heung-min (9) and Dwight Yorke (8)
2. 50
3. 2013, David Moyes
4. Everton (846 goals conceded), Newcastle (830) and Tottenham (826)
5. Luis Suarez (between October-December 2013)
