Azpilicueta to leave Chelsea for Inter
Out of respect for everything he has done for the club, Chelsea have reportedly decided to allow captain Cesar Azpilicueta to leave as a free agent, despite there being 12 months left on his contract.
The 33-year-old defender, with 508 appearances for the Blues over 11 seasons to his name, has agreed a two-year deal with Inter Milan.
Wolves and Al-Hilal confirm Neves transfer
After years of speculation, links with clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and probably several more, Ruben Neves has left Wolverhampton Wanderers and joined Saudi side Al-Hilal.
The Portugal international thus becomes another player from a top European league to make his way to Saudi Arabia this summer, and Wolves are set to receive a fee of €55 million for his services.
Manchester United submit final Mount offer
Having had two offers for Mason Mount rejected, Manchester United have submitted a third, apparently the final one. All sources say the same: either Chelsea accept, or United move on. There won’t be a fourth bid.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder is believed to have chosen Old Trafford ahead of other potential destinations, and he’s pushing to get the transfer done. He has already informed Chelsea that he won’t be signing a new contract, and with his current one expiring in 12 months, the Blues could end up losing him without compensation if they continue playing hard-ball.
The offer United have sent to Chelsea is still short of Chelsea’s reported valuation, but many expect Chelsea to accept and resolve the situation once and for all.
