The future of de Jong to be decided soon

Ajax’s Frenkie de Jong is set to make a decision on his future soon, his agent Ali Dursun told Dutch outlet Voetbal International.

The speculations about the midfielder’s destination at the end of the season have been numerous since the summer, with the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Juventus leading the way. Barca, City and Juve are all in the process of rejuvenating their respective midfield sections, while PSG need a replacement for Adrien Rabiot who is set to leave the club soon. A similar story has developed around defender Matthijs de Ligt as well.

Both de Jong and his agent have often been called upon to comment on various reports claiming a deal with one club or the other was already on the cards, but so far they have both denied such allegations on every occasion. However, now it seems the story is about reach its final conclusion.
