Italian champions Juventus are reportedly preparing to make a move for highly-rated Fulham midfielder Pajtim Kasami in the January transfer window, according to The Daily and Sunday Express.
Kasami, formerly of Lazio and Palermo, joined Fulham in a deal worth £5 million in the summer of 2011 and is represented by the infamous Mino Raiola.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been included in the Switzerland squad for the upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Slovenia on Friday and Tuesday, respectively.
Switzerland, who need just two points from their remaining two qualifiers to book their place in next year’s World Cup finals, are 5/6 to win at the Qemal Stafa Stadium on Friday night.
Milan secure Rami loan
Elsewhere, AC Milan have completed the signing of Valencia CF centre-back Adil Rami on a season-long loan deal, as reported by FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti.
“I have just concluded the transfer, so it is complete,” Bronzetti told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“The player will go to Milan despite a recent interest from Rafa Benitez at Napoli.
“The Frenchman was wanted by many clubs, including more abroad, but at the end of the day he chose the Rossoneri.”
The deal allows Milan to sign the France international, who reportedly attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United during the summer transfer window, on a permanent basis for a fee of €7 million.
Cavaleiro happy at Benfica
Portugal youth international striker Ivan Cavaleiro has moved to play down speculation linking him with a January move to Old Trafford by insisting he is happy at the Estádio da Luz, Sky Sports understands.
“My job is to earn an opportunity for the first team and this depends on the coach,” Cavaleiro told Antena 1. “There are very good strikers at Benfica and it is not easy to get into the first team.
“I have a contract until June 2018 and I feel good here.
“For me it’s a huge honour to represent Benfica because it’s the club of my heart. I want to continue here and succeed in the first team.”
Cavaleiro, 19, has bagged 19 goals in 48 appearances for Benfica B over the past two seasons, but has yet to make his senior debut for the Águias.
The Portugal Under-20 international has been the subject of reported interest from Manchester United in recent weeks; however, the Reds will surely proceed with caution following the £7 million flop signing of Bébé from Vitória de Guimarães in 2010.
Ngoy set for Stoke move
