The Premier League stars that could still be heading over to Turkey this week

While most of Europe’s respective domestic leagues might have watched their summer transfer windows slam shut last week, all of Turkey’s elite still have plenty of time left on the clock.

Watching Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen complete what was a sensational loan switch to Galatasaray following failed Deadline Day moves to either Chelsea or Saudi Arabia, the Turkish summer window will not officially close until September 13th.

Although ex-Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha might have cut his spell in Istanbul short, there are plenty of current Premier League aces that are linked with a late move over to Turkey.

Kieran Trippier – Newcastle

While Kieran Trippier might have played a crucial role in Newcastle’s revolution since arriving at St. James’ Park back in January 2022, the former Tottenham defender appears to have his sights set on a move away from the North East.

Falling down Eddie Howe’s pecking order and now the second-choice option behind Tino Livramento, Trippier has made it clear to the Newcastle hierarchy that he is seeking a more regular role and is keen on complete a dramatic late move.

Officially announcing his international retirement last week, it has been suggested that the Magpies would be willing to cash in on the 33-year-old should they receive an acceptable offer over the next week.

Set to turn 34 at the end of the month, it has been reported that a number of Super Lig outfits have reached out to Trippier’s representatives and initiated initial discussions over a potential swoop.

Reportedly earning a fee in the region of £120,000-per-week, Sky Sports are suggesting that the Turkish trio of Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Eyupspor have all shown genuine interest.

Casemiro – Manchester United

Although there might have been plenty of excitement around Old Trafford following Casemiro’s arrival in the summer of 2022, the former Real Madrid superstar has come under increasing scrutiny and Manchester United have left the door open to a late move away.

Putting in what was a nightmare performance during United’s 3-0 drumming at home against historic rivals Liverpool last weekend and dragged off during the half-time break, Casemiro appears a shadow of the player that claimed five Champions League titles during his tenure in the Spanish capital.

Receiving hefty backlash from across the board, the 32-year-old reportedly earns a whopping £375,000-per-week and a large section of the United fanbase are desperate to get Casemiro off of their bumper wage bill.

Watching Uruguayan international Manuel Ugarte complete a Deadline Day move from French giants PSG, it appears that United’s struggling midfield star could be deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

With suggestions that United would be willing to entertain a long deal, ESPN are reporting that Fenerbahce have identified the 75-cap international as a leading transfer target.

Sergio Regulion – Tottenham

Spending last season on loan at both Manchester United and Brentford respectively, Sergio Regulion finds himself at a real career crossroads having returned to Tottenham over the summer.

With Ange Postecoglu making it abundantly clear that the 27-year-old is not part of his plans going forward, Reguilon has not been a part of Tottenham’s squad for their opening three Premier League appearances.

Not even featuring for Spurs during their pre-season preparations over the summer, the former Atletico Madrid defender is desperate to draw a line under his north London nightmare.

With Tottenham’s hierarchy actively looking to push Regulion out of the exit over the coming week, Spurs are even willing to allow their misfit defender to leave on a temporary basis.

Previously working under Jose Mourinho’s during the Portuguese bosses tenure in north London, Fenerbache are keen on striking a deal with Tottenham over an initial season-long loan deal with the option of a permanent swoop next summer.
