While the Premier League might have once again shattered a string of financial records last summer, there are a host of top-flight superstars that are set for a free switch at the end of the season.

With a host of top-flight stars watching their current contracts tick away, there are plenty of ongoing battles behind the scenes.

Ahead of what looks set to be another frantic transfer window from across England’s elite, we have taken a look at some of the Premier League stars that are in the final few months of their current deals.

Raphael Varane – Manchester United

While there might have been plenty of excitement around Old Trafford when Raphael Varane arrived at Manchester United in the summer of 2021, it is fair to say that the French international has struggled to find much stability among England’s elite.

With the former Real Madrid superstar hit with a latest muscle injury earlier in the month and facing a race against the clock to feature again before the end of the season, it is no secret that Varane is expected to leave the Premier League giants on a free transfer this summer.

Struggling to hold down a regular spot at the heart of Erik ten Hag’s defence, the 30-year-old is not expected to be handed a new deal by the Old Trafford hierarchy.

Although there might have been shock speculation over the festive period that Varane could be set for a blockbuster return to Real Madrid, it has also been suggested that the four-time Champions League winner could be the next European icon heading to Saudi Arabia.

Jorginho – Arsenal

While many around north London might have been surprised last year when Jorginho arrived at the Emirates from Chelsea in a £12million deal, the Italy international has quickly become a key part of Arsenal’s title charge.

Receiving a string of praise since breaking into Mikel Arteta’s midfield when opening the New Year, the 32-year-old appears to be enjoying life with the Premier League title contenders.

However, despite forming an eye-catching partnership alongside the duo of Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard, Jorginho’s current deal at the Emirates comes to an end this summer.

While Arteta might have made it clear on numerous occasions that he wants the former Chelsea star to extend his stay in north London, it has been reported over the past week that the 52-cap international is not in any rush to tie himself down to an extension.

Tosin Adarabioyo – Fulham

With Fulham still battling it out in the chase to claim another Premier League top-half finish this season, defensive talisman Tosin Adarabioyo has continued to attract plenty of reported interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

While the 26-year-old might have missed large spells of the first-half of the season after dealing with a long-term muscle injury, the former Blackburn defender finds his stock at a red-hot high.

However, although Marco Silva’s men might have made it abundantly clear that he wants Adarabioyo to put pen to paper on a bumper new deal at Craven Cottage, Fulham have struggled to make any kind of headway.

Alongside reported interest from Manchester United, it has also been suggested that the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle are keen on securing a free swoop when Adarabioyo’s contract expires this summer.

Anthony Martial – Manchester United

While it might appear almost certain that Varane will be heading for the Old Trafford exit this summer, the French superstar is not the only first-team star that finds his days at Manchester United numbered.

Not making a single appearance since the start of December after undergoing surgery on a groin injury, many feel that Anthony Martial has played his last game for the Premier League giants.

Notching just a single goal in his 13 top-flight outings this season and with ten Hag making it clear that the former Monaco starlet is not part of his plans at Old Trafford, Martial is already planning for life away from Manchester.

With both parties reportedly making it clear that they have no intention of agreeing a new deal, there has been some suggestions that the 28-year-old is attracting interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham.
