Enduring what was a public Bundesliga nightmare last season as they relinquished their domestic crown, Bayern Munich face what is a monumental summer behind the scenes in Bavaria.

With many left stunned last month as it was confirmed that Vincent Kompany will be the new man to take charge at the German giants, the former Burnley boss has plenty of pressure on his shoulders.

However, watching England skipper Harry Kane enjoy a remarkable maiden campaign in the Bundesliga last season following his £100million move from Tottenham, it appears that Bayern are planning another Premier League raid this summer.

Making Eric Dier’s respective move from Spurs a permanent one, Kompany is expected to have some serious finances at his disposal over the next couple of months.

Ahead of what could be a record-breaking summer spend from Bayern, we have taken a look at the three Premier League superstars that are reportedly topping Kompany’s summer wishlist.

Michael Olise – Crystal Palace

Although there might have been constant speculation over the past month that a host of Premier League heavyweights have been chasing Michael Olise’s signature, it appears almost certain that the Crystal Palace talisman will be heading over to Bavaria this summer.

Watching Chelsea officially withdraw from discussions, Bayern are expected to officially unveil the 22-year-old this week in what will be a sensational deal.

With Olise placing a reported £60million release clause in the contract extension that he signed last year, Kompany’s new squad have already confirmed to Palace that they will be activating that tigger.

While the former Reading starlet might not have been included in France’s squad for this summer’s European Championships, Olise certainly set the Premier League alight last season.

Despite dealing with respective injury issues throughout the 2023/24 campaign, the Eagles’ attacking starlet recorded 10 Premier League goals and was attracting plenty of interest from the likes of Manchester United.

Joao Palhinha – Fulham

Although Joao Palhinha might have eventually seen his potential move to Bayern Munich fall apart at the eleventh hour last summer, the Fulham midfielder has made it abundantly clear that he is desperate to get the move over the line this time around.

Publicly stating that his only intention is to complete a move to Bavaria this summer, the 28-year-old has already agreed on personal terms and is ready to sign a contract until 2028.

With the now-former German champions once again making it clear that the Portuguese international is their standout midfield target this summer, it has been reported that Bayern will be making one final offer over the coming days.

With Sky Germany reporting that Kompany’s side have tabled a £38million offer, they hope that Fulham are finally willing to readjust their reported £60million valuation and get a speedy deal completed.

Although it might appear that Palhinha’s long-awaited move to the Allianz is once again hanging in the balance, Bayern remain optimistic that they can officially get their man before the end of this summer’s European Championships.

Amadou Onana – Everton

Hit with two separate points deduction last season and still with mounting speculation over their future behind the scenes at Goodison Park, it is no secret that Everton are juggling some major financial issues.

With continued reports that the Toffees could be facing even more sanctions during the 2024/25 campaign, Sean Dyche’s men have already accepted that they will have to part ways with some of their most valuable assets.

Alongside extended speculation that Manchester United are planning a second official bid for defensive talisman Jarrad Brainthwaite, there has been plenty of reports that Belgium international Amadou Onana will be allowed to complete a move away from Goodison Park this summer.

With continued talk over the past six months that the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona are monitoring Onana’s situation closely, Sky Sports reported last week that Bayern Munich are the latest European heavyweight to make their interest clear.
