Manchester United have been heavily linked with Erling Haaland of RB Salzburg recently, along with a host of other clubs. The attention the 19-year-old sensation has been getting recently is quite understandable, given that he’s now scored an incredible 26 goals in 18 games in all competitions for his club this season.
However, the 20-time English champions apparently have a few difficult obstacles to overcome. Haaland is being represented by Mino Raiola, and despite United singing the likes of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, all clients of the ‘super-agent’, the club hierarchy sees dealing with him as a problem, according to David Ornstein, formerly of BBC, now working for The Athletic. That, plus the abundance of interest from a number of top clubs around Europe, are the factors complicating the situation for United.
However, some of the club’s employees working at their Carrington training ground believe that Haaland’s arrival is only a matter of time.
