The Real Madrid superstars who are likely heading for the exit in January

Managing to pick up a 2-0 win away at Inter Milan and keeping alive their Champions League adventure in midweek, it is no secret that Real Madrid have largely struggled to find their best this season.

Only collecting a point away at Villarreal last weekend and entering November’s international break with a 4-1 drumming at the hands of Valencia, there is still plenty of questions over Zinedine Zidane’s position in the dugout.

Already watching Gareth Bale make his Tottenham return in a loan deal over the summer, we have taken a look at three other Los Blancos superstars who appear to be heading out of the Bernabéu.

Isco

Arguably the biggest name that appears to be destined for the Madrid exit sooner rather than later, Isco has drastically struggled to settle in during Zidane’s second reign in the capital.

Caught up in a controversy after being caught discussing his displeasure at Zidane’s tactics from the Los Blancos bench earlier in the month, the 28-year-old has made just seven La Liga appearances so far this season, with just a trio of those outings coming from the start.

Linked with a potential Premier League switch to Manchester City in January, Isco’s father and agent Paco Alarcon made it clear earlier in the week that the midfielder is looking for a new challenge elsewhere.

Losing his place in Spain’s national side and making just a pair of international appearances since 2018, it is believed that Zidane would be open to moving Isco on if the right deal can be agreed.

Mariano Diaz

While Mariano Diaz might have made his first La Liga start last weekend and managed to bag the only goal in Madrid’s 1-1 draw away at Villereal, it is believed by many in the Spanish capital that his future does lie elsewhere.

With Spanish outlet Foot Mercato reporting that Zidane has already made it clear to the Madrid hierarchy that he is keen on moving the 27-year-old on, the pacey forward has struggled since making a £23million return to Los Blancos from Lyon back in 2018.

Much like Isco who is attracting Premier League interest, it has been reported over the past week that West Ham have identified Diaz as their number one target in January and Hammers boss David Moyes is desperate to bring him over to England.

Managing to rack up 21 goals during his time in France, it is believed that Diaz is open to a move away.

Luka Jovic

While Loka Jovic might have made a shock move out to Real Madrid thanks to a stunning campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt that saw him 27 goals in all competitions, the Serbian’s time with the European heavyweights has been nothing short of a disaster.

Failing to live up to the eyebrow-raising £54million fee that Los Blancos paid for him last season, the 22-year-old still sits firmly behind Karim Benzema in Zidane’s striking pecking order and is someone looking to really kick-start their career.

Missing last weekend’s matchup away at Villereal after testing positive for coronavirus, Jovic has mustered just 13 starts for Madrid during his tenure and has managed to find the net on just two occasions.

Previously linked with a potential move to Italian giants AC Milan, it has also been reported that Leicester and once again West Ham have shown some interest in making a January move.
