As he was preparing to come on from the bench, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah exchanged some angry words with manager Jurgen Klopp on the touchline during their team’s 2-2 draw against West Ham on Saturday, and walking through the mixed zone at the London Stadium after the match, the Egyptian declined interview requests and merely said, “if I speak today, there will be fire”.
Unsurprisingly, the issue has been a major talking point in the British media, but former Reds midfielder Jamie Redknapp has played the problem down, pointing out that these things sometimes happen, particularly when the team isn’t doing well.
