According to a recent report from ESPN, Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva wants to stay in Europe upon leaving the French champions when his contract expires. The 35-year-old is confident in his ability to play for a top club for at least two more years, and now, it all comes down to whether or not there are any interested parties out there.
The answer to that will almost certainly be yes, with Wolverhampton Wanderers of the Premier League reportedly being the latest club to declare their interest.
Silva may have lost a step in the eyes of some in the last few seasons, but he’s still the kind of defender that is capable of doing a job for a top team.
PSG, on the other hand, look set to invest in the future as they attempt to bring in more big names. Of course, replacing Thiago Silva will be easier said than done.
