AC Milan defender Thiago Silva admits he is well aware of the reported interest from Spanish giants Barcelona.
The Catalans have made the Brazilian defender their number one target for the summer as they are eager to reinforce their back line.
The 27-year-old has impressed fans and pundits alike with his rock-solid displays in Serie A and Champions League.
Speaking to the Catalan newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Silva admitted he was pondering his future.
“I do not know what will happen in my future.”
The player explained that he was aware that Barcelona were interested in his services.
“Through some friends and the press I know that Barcelona are interested in me, but for now there is no concrete offer.
“I leave these questions to my agent, but at this time my only thought is to return Milan to being champions of Italy again.
“The Catalan team are the best in the world, even if they are not going through the happiest of times right now. Every player dreams of playing at a big club like Barcelona.”
The Brazilian signed for AC Milan from Fluminense in December 2008 for a fee of €10 million, but he only joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2009.
Silva has since developed into one of the best Serie A defenders and made the total of 89 league appearances for the Italian giants.
Milan chiefs are now desperate to keep hold of their prized asset, but they may not be able to resist a big money offer from Barcelona.
