It is little secret to much of the footballing world that Spanish super club Real Madrid are in the market for a goalkeeper, and have been for some time, despite how effective current shot stopper Keylor Navas has been in many games over the past few seasons.
Having eyed Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea for a long time, Los Blancos have now accepted that the Spaniard is likely to stay put, so they are now turning their attention to Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois, according to Sky Sports.
Courtois has established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in world football over the past few seasons, first at Atletico Madrid and more recently at Premier League giants Chelsea.
In this campaign the Belgian has kept 13 clean sheets in 26 league games, and he managed an impressive 16 in the Blues’ 2016-17 title-winning season. There is little doubt of Courtois’ talent, and he would make an excellent addition to a Real Madrid side that has been struggling somewhat this season.
