Espanyol striker Thievy Bifouma has been the subject of interest from Rennes, according to L’Equipe.
Les Bretons are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements as they hope to improve their precarious league position and they have been linked with a move for the 21-year-old forward.
Thievy, who played for CS Meaux and Strasbourg before moving to Spain in the winter of 2010, has been struggling for playing time at Cornella El Prat, having started just two La Liga matches this season.
However, he has still managed to prove his undoubted potential having already scored 3 league goals this season.
The Frenchman doesn’t seem to have a future at Cornella El Prat though, meaning he is likely to be tempted by the opportunity to return to French Ligue 1.
His suitors Rennes play host to Nice next weekend and are priced at 13/10 to end a three-match losing run by defeating les Aiglons.
