Third time’s a charm for Carlos Bacca?

Colombia international forward Carlos Bacca is reportedly close to sealing a return to Spain – for the third time in his career.

Former Sevilla star striker spent last season playing for Villarreal as a loaned player but could once again be on his way to La Liga with Yellow Submarine said to be plotting another move for the AC Milan forward.

The Italian media outlets claim Villarreal would be open to Carlos Bacca deal despite having made record signings this summer to bring Gerard Moreno and Karl-Toko Ekambi.

The 31-year-old is looking to change clubs this summer but has already turned down a lucrative offer from Turkey as he’s eyeing a more prominent European championship. Trabzonspor reportedly made a three-season contract offer worth €5 million and an extra €2 million signing-on bonus.

A return to Spain is now on the cards, however, with Villarreal leading the race together with several other La Liga sides.
