Monaco playmaker Thomas Lemar is reportedly keen on joining Liverpool at the end of the season, according to The Independent.
The highly rated footballer was a top target for Arsenal in the winter transfer window, but it would appear that he is now closest to joining Liverpool.
The Reds see Lemar as a great long-term successor to Philippe Coutinho and they plan to launch a fresh assault on the 22-year-old in the summer.
Liverpool officials appear to have persuaded the attacking midfielder to accept an offer from Anfield and they now need to try and find common ground with Monaco as well.
Thomas Lemar was arguably Monaco’s best player last season and he also contributed 2 goals and 5 assists in 16 league outings this term.
