Belgian full-back Thomas Meunier appears to have changed his opinion as he is now happy to remain at Parc des Princes.
The highly rated footballer didn’t hide his disappointment by the lack of playing time and hinted at a summer exit on more than one occasion.
Meunier also clashed with head coach Unai Emery, but with the Spaniard likely to leave in the summer, the defender seems ready to give a new boss a chance.
Nevertheless, the 26-year-old has made it clear that he would prefer to be playing on regular basis.
“From a personal point of view, this season has been quite complicated,” Meunier told RTBF.
“Compared to the game time I received last year, I have only played 15 matches. There is a bit of frustration. My pleasure is to be on the pitch.
”What I want is to play football. I still have a two-year contract in Paris. My goal is to stay in Paris. We like it a lot.”
While registering 4 goals in 16 league outings this term, Meunier did even better on international stage, producing 5 goals and 7 assists in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
