Catalan media outlet Sport has suggested that Barcelona plan to offer new contracts to three first team footballers.
The club officials have so far persuaded Argentine superstar Leo Messi to extend his deal, while they are close to reaching an agreement with Andres Iniesta.
They are now turning towards Gerard Pique, Sergi Roberto and Gerard Deulofeu, the products of club’s famed La Masia youth academy.
Having seen Neymar leave for PSG earlier this summer, the Catalans will also ensure to increase the players’ release clauses.
This is especially true for Deulofeu and Roberto, who have €20m and €40m buy-out clauses at the moment, while Gerard Pique is safe at €200 million.
All three players have another two years left on their respective deals, so this feel like the right time to begin new contract talks.
