Steaua Bucharest are the favourites to snare the second qualification spot in Europa League Group K according to Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri.
Steaua only need a draw against Napoli in Italy on Wednesday to seal their place in the last 32 of the competition, which would eliminate Mazzarri’s side from the competition.
Niether side can usurp group winners Liverpool, who host the already eliminated FC Utrecht at Anfield on Wednesday.
“Steaua has two positive results out of three and of course it’s a big advantage to know that you can count on these two positive results,” Mazzarri said.
“We should only focus on the result and manage it as best we can: we should start well, be ready for everything, pay extra care to the little details since they can make the difference and favour the team which has two positive results.”
“From this point of view I believe that Steaua has more advantages than we do.”
Mazzarri will field his strongest side possible, but is still tossing up between Luigi Vitale and Andrea Dossena at left back, and Ezequiel Lavezzi, Camilo Zuniga and Jose Ernesto Sosa up front.
Whoever he chooses, Mazzarri insisted his side would be out to put on an entertaining display.
“Football is a show and should give emotions to the people,” Mazzarri said.
“I’m very proud of having a pro-active team, which always plays well and tries to attack whenever possible. I’m very proud of it.”
“As far as the general European level is concerned, it may seem a commonplace, but it’s not in the Europa League, it’s in Champions League and my preferred football model is always Barcelona.”
