The Daily Mirror is reporting that LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane does not want a move to the English Premier League in the MLS closed season and wants to stay in America to keep fit and prepare for the next campaign.
However, despite this news, Aston Villa, Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers are all set to try and change the mind of the Republic of Ireland international and bring him in on loan in January.
Villa of course were the team to land Keane on a short-term basis last season and he certainly impressed during his spell with three top flight goals.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp has worked with Keane before in the past, as has Norwich boss Chris Hughton.
All of these three look as though they may need a little bit more fire-power going forward, even though Norwich scored four against Swansea over the weekend.
There is no doubt that the Irishman is a natural goal-scorer that could probably still play well and score goals in the top flight.
But it seems as though it will take a change of heart or maybe a big offer for a team to secure his services in the January transfer window.
