No fewer than three Premier League clubs are vying for the signature of Sporting CP striker Islam Slimani, according to reports.
A Bola claims that Everton and West Bromwich have had official proposals rejected by the Lions, since these were not even close to their €30 million valuation.
Slimani’s €30 million release clause may have expired, but Sporting CP have no intention of letting him go for less.
At the same time, Sky Sports claims that Swansea offered around €20 million for the Algeria international, but their offer was rejected as well.
The Swans are desperate to recruit another quality striker despite signing Fernando Llorente from Sevilla, having stayed without Eder, Alberto Paloschi and Bafetimbi Gomis.
Islam Slimani, 28, has set the Primeira Liga alight with his performances since joining Sporting CP from Belouizdad, going on to score 47 goals in 80 league appearances for the Lions, quickly becoming one of the hottest commodities in Portugal.
