Juventus midfielder Tiago Mendes has admitted that he would be keen on a move to Benfica.
The Portuguese midfielder has failed to establish himself in the Juventus team since joining the club in 2007 and is ready to move on, should he fail to become a regular starter.
“I don’t play, in fact, I play very little and for this reason I am thinking about going home,” Tiago told Antenna 1.
“If things don’t change at Juve then I will find the best solution for me.
“Portugal is my country and it’s clear that I would go back there if the chance came about.
“A club needs to show that they are interested in me and then I will decide where to go if there were three or four teams interested.
“I am a professional and in Portugal I would only play for Benfica.”
Tiago joined Juventus for more than 13million euros.
