It’s begun. The summer transfer window of 2023 is officially open.
Youri Tielemans joins Aston Villa
Youri Tielemans has left Leicester City as his contract expired and joined Aston Villa as a free agent.

The 26-year-old Belgium international was linked last year with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, but both those clubs have since moved on to other targets.
Tielemans will be remembered at Leicester for scoring the winning goal in the 2021 FA Cup final against Chelsea, bringing the first trophy to the club since the sensational Premier League triumph in 2015/16, even though he wasn’t able to help them avoid relegation last season.
Harry Winks leaves Spurs for Leicester
In a move worth £10 million, Leicester City have signed Harry Winks from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 27-year-old had a notable part to play for Spurs back under Mauricio Pochettino, contributing plenty when they reached the Champions League final in 2019, but he had difficulty in making the cut under every manager that sat in the dugout since. He spent the 2022/23 season on loan with Sampdoria, who have been relegated from the Italian top flight.
His next task will likely be to replace Youri Tielemans at the King Power Stadium as the Foxes seek a way back to the Premier League.
Leicester sign Conor Coady from Wolves
Winks isn’t the only player the Foxes have signed today. They’ve also confirmed the arrival of defender Conor Coady from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Coady spent last season on loan with Everton, but the Toffees opted against making the deal permanent at the end of the spell. He returned to Wolves, but only to complete his move to Leicester for £7.5 million.
Celtic winger Jota keen on Al-Ittihad move
Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad are reportedly interested in the services of Celtic winger Jota, and the winger is believed to be keen on the idea of a move to the Middle East.
All that now remains to be seen is if the Scottish champions will be willing to sanction a deal, and how much they’d demand to let the 24-year-old, one of their best players in 2022/23, leave.
Arsenal want Diomande
Arsenal have been credited with interest in Ousmane Diomande of Sporting Lisbon. However, they could have their work cut out for them with other Premier League heavyweights monitoring the situation closely.
Apparently, there is a vast release clause in the contract of the 19-year-old Ivorian defender, and Sporting will want it paid in full if any transfer is to happen.
Spurs ahead of Arsenal in Van de Ven race
The two North-London rivals are reportedly competing for the signature of VfL Wolfsburg’s Micky van de Ven, and as things stand at the moment, it seems Spurs the club with the upper hand despite not having European football to offer next season.
At the age of 22, the Dutch defender is widely considered among the brightest prospects in his position, and he was linked with numerous clubs over the last couple of months.
