Having initially struggled to gain footing at the Serie A heavyweights AC Milan, Chelsea on-loan midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is becoming a key figure in Gennaro Gattuso’s team of late.
Bakayoko seems to have settled nicely with Rossoneri and could be offered a chance to sign a permanent deal with AC Milan, according to the Italian media.
AC Milan officials Leonardo and Paolo Maldini as well as the head coach Gattuso are said to have been convinced by Bakayoko’s ability and appear to be laying grounds for contract negotiations with Chelsea.
The player himself is also keen to remain in Italy and sign a permanent deal with AC Milan instead of returning to London at the end of the season knowing that Maurizio Sarri is not counting on his services any longer.
It is being speculated that an offer worth around €40 million would seal the deal for Bakayoko.
