Tierney not leaving Arsenal this summer

According to a recent report from Evening Standard, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that defender Kieran Tierney will not be leaving the club during the summer transfer window.

This is despite reported interest from Leicester City, with the Foxes hoping to add to their ranks as they anticipate the loss of Ben Chilwell to Chelsea over the next few months.

Tierney has impressed during his spell at the Emirates so far, but due to injuries and the COVID-19 pandemic, he hasn’t quite been able to build up as much consistency as he would’ve initially hoped. Arteta will be well aware of the potential that the young Scot possesses, and due to that, he won’t want to let him go – especially to a potential rival in the top flight.

Arsenal are expected to have a lot of outgoings during the summer window, but it doesn’t appear as if Tierney is going to be one of them.
