According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Celtic defender Kieran Tierney is set to have his official medical with Arsenal Football Club today ahead of his proposed move from the Scottish champions. Tierney has been edging closer and closer to this deal being completed for a while now, and on Deadline Day, it finally seems like they’re going to get it over the finish line.
Payment schedules are said to have been agreed now, with an upfront figure believed to be close to £25 million being set. Tierney has been one of the primary targets for the Gunners, and now that they’re so close to landing him, it almost seems difficult to believe.
He’s certainly more than good enough to break into this Arsenal first team within an incredibly short space of time, and we’re really interested to see whether or not that is the direction this goes in next for him.
