Market: Tim Sherwood to be next Crystal Palace manager
Odds: 4/9 @ William Hill
There’s been a lot of speculation on who will be the next manager of Crystal Palace this season following the departure of Tony Pulis. Malky Mackay was previous the bookies favourite for the job after admitting he’d be interested in the position. But now former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood appears in the frame to replace Pulis.
Sherwood was sacked this summer from the London side, but he impressed many following his short-lived spell at the helm due to his penchant to attack and for the improvement in fortunes upon his arrival. He also blooded through a selection of Spurs youth players who are in the first-team now.
As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 4/9 for the 45-year-old to be the next Eagles manager, after he also expressed an interest in the role. He has competition, however. The likes of assistant manager Keith Millen, former West Brom head coach Steve Clarke, and ex Celtic manager Neil Lennon are all also in the running.
