Tim Sherwood believes that Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min is good enough to play for Liverpool.

The former Tottenham manager has raved about the South Korea international, who can play as a forward or as a winger.

Sherwood believes that the 28-year-old is very underrated, and is surprised that no bigger clubs have come calling for him.

Sherwood said about Son on Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports (12/09/20 at 1:50 pm): “Son, I think is a very underrated player. I know we all like him. For the life of me, I don’t know why he’s not linked to many teams.

“When you talk about Harry Kane getting linked, left, right and centre. I think Son could play for Liverpool. He can play for top teams in the Premier League and all over the world.”

Important player for Tottenham Hotspur

Son has been on the books of Tottenham since the summer of 2015 when he joined from German club Bayer Leverkusen.

The South Korea international has established himself as an important player for Spurs over the years and has been a key figure in their recent success.

According to WhoScored, the 28-year-old scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in the Premier League last season, and he also scored five goals and provided one assist in the Champions League in 2019-20.

Tottenham will need Son to be at the very best this season if they are to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, with the North London outfit currently rated at 7/2 by Betfair to clinch a Champions League place.

I agree with the article, but I don’t think it is good to go to the bigger club for Son. Ex) in Liverpool, nobody can say that Son could be in the first choice, not Mane. I think just stay and becoming the legend of Spurs is not a bad idea.
