Time running out for Benitez?

According to The Mirror, Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez knows that time is running out for him at the club. The Spaniard has been unable to prevent the Magpies from sinking back down to the bottom of the Premier League table, as concern grows from fans regarding his future on Tyneside. The blame continues to fall at the feet of Mike Ashley regarding the lack of transfer activity from the club, and it doesn’t seem as if the situation is going to improve any time soon.

While Rafa will likely still receive some of the blame from a tactical perspective, it’s still worth noting that the door is wide open for more players to come in – if Ashley decides to commit to such a thing. Regardless, though, something needs to change at the club in the next few months, or perhaps even weeks, or big changes are going to be made.
