The RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner is set to leave his current side at the end of the season.
The in-demand attacker has gone through a steady rise over the past couple of years with his impact alarming a host of Europe’s elite clubs.
The 22-year-old striker is not being too shy about his desire to change clubs and went that far as to drop a sizeable hint that Bayern Munich are the club he wants to move to.
“I’ve had a nice two and a half years at Leipzig so they are in the picture for next season. There are other clubs too. If you want to play in Germany and want to stay here, there is only one club in question”, he told Sky Sports Germany.
Timo Werner is contracted to Leipzig until 2020 which still gives plenty of room for manoeuvre.
The January transfer is unlikely to happen but Bayern Munich have now been given a clear vote of confidence and an encouragement to make an advance towards one of the biggest attacking prospects in Europe.
