According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo is set to make a switch over to Ajax on loan during the summer transfer window. The 19 year old made the jump over to the Nou Camp from Toulouse back in January, but has yet to really make an impression on the club’s starting XI. He’s still considered to be one of the stars for the future for the Spanish giants, but at this moment in time, first team football is unlikely for him.
Todibo would be making the jump over to Ajax in order to facilitate the transfer of Matthijs de Ligt to Barcelona. It’s no secret that Barca have been very interested in bringing de Ligt over to La Liga, to go alongside Frenkie de Jong who also recently completed his move.
Todibo is considered to be one of France’s brightest young defenders, making his professional debut just two years ago.
