Jean-Clair Todibo joined West Ham on a season-long loan from OGC Nice last month, and the deal between the two clubs reportedly included an obligation to buy should certain conditions be met. According to Fabrizio Romano, those conditions are extremely easy to reach, which means the 24-year-old centre-back is practically certain to become a full-time Hammer very soon, for an agreed sum of €40 million.
West Ham are said to have beaten off competition from the likes of Manchester United and Juventus for his signature.
Todibo is yet to start for West Ham in the Premier League, having sat out the defeat to Manchester City last week on the bench, after making brief appearances against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace. He did start, however, in the Hammers’ Carabao Cup victory over Bournemouth in the second round of the competition, and could be in for a stern test against Liverpool in round three.
